Javon Cooper

Javon always dreamed of drawing for one of the big comic companies. People always said that he drew better than so-and-so who drew Super-Spider #347, or whatever, and he believed them. He believed them when they encouraged him to go to art school. He believed them when they told him he had to draw for 10,000 hours before he could break into the industry. He even believed them when they told him that they just weren't looking for someone quite so young...

It's been five years since he finished school and he still draws, but he's getting fewer and fewer responses when submitting his portfolio. He took a job working the front desk at a gym to make ends meet and now, he's afraid that he'll never get out of there.

A girlfriend told him about #iHunt as a way to get some extra cash and he blew her off, until he recognized one of the gig targets as a "Karen" from his gym. He got payback and a paycheck on his first job through the app. The gym's a better place now, and so is his apartment, now that he was able to afford a dining room table.
